Gatanga Constituency Website

Gatanga constituency is home to prominent kikuyu musicians and the talent seems to be the 3rd cash crop.Some of the Famous musicians who hail from Gatanga include;

3. Ndemethiu
4. Makibi James(RIP)
5. Sarah Kiarie
6. Muruaru

The musicians teamed up together to celebrate the great talent and organised an  annual gatanga night at  carnivore grounds in nairobi.Over the years the funds raised during the Gatanga night are used for charity purposes.

The funds have so far been used for;

1. Equipping kirwara subdistrict hospital with modern medical equipments
2. Renovating the  youth empowerment centre hall to a music recording studio.

The foundation affairs are ran by three directors;

2. Ms.Maryanne Mugo
3. Mr.Joe Ngugi
