Using Education to Provide Valuable Skill sets

Education plays an enormously significant pivotal role in eradicating poverty. An education is a child’s greatest hope for a better future. It lowers birth rates, increases economic productivity and equips individuals with the skills necessary to participate in the workplace.

Education has an essential role in our community as educated adults procreate, have healthier children, become more productive at work, receive better pay in the workplace and generally enjoy greater health.

Education seeks to improve the quality of life by providing lifelong learning opportunities for all members of a community.

Lifelong learning is based on the belief that people are learners at every age and are entitled to pursue educational opportunities that are meaningful to them.

The success of the Gatanga Education Program relies on the active involvement of our constituents - not only those who are enroll in school, but also those who participate on our Education Committee, volunteer at our schools and events, or share their passion and knowledge with others by teaching a class.

There are one hundred and forty seven (147) schools in the constituency, with a total student population of eighty six thousand nine hundred and sixty five (86, 965).
