Bursary Fund
Gatanga Education Bursary fund (GEBF) and Kakuzi Ithanga Mitumbithi Education Trust Fund (KIMETF) founded in the year 2003 with the sole purpose of assisting bright and needy studentsacquire secondary education.
The fund depends mostly on funds raised through a series of harambees in each of the locations in the constituency.
A total of Kshs. 5,856,138.35 has been raised so far, as follows:

Gatanga Location 2,188,316.55 view
Kihumbuini Location 853,403.80 view
Kariara Location 975,615.00 view
Kigoro Location 968,600.00 view
Kakuzi Division 870,203.00 view

In all, the fund was able to assist over 800 students costing a total of Kshs. 5,856,138.35.

To date, the members of the fund have established an education committee whose purpose is to help improve education standards.
